Through Shipley, I found Paul Johnson http://pauljohnsoncarcollection.co.uk/

I was delighted with his care and service.

Drive it up and train back mate, much cheaper than a courier.

Already looked at train, not cheap and a 15 hour ride with 3 changes... might take two cars up and one back.

Driving that tourer all that way would be my idea of a great day out

Thanks Dave

I contacted Paul and he set me an initial price, which was the same as most on Shipley, however as it was not needed that exact day it gave Paul time to look around for a return load, he has now secured a return load and that has brought my cost down within budget. Works out less than £1 per mile so very happy. £300 for a 369 mile single trip 81p per mile

Other alternative was drive up taking two cars and returning in one, an overnight stop would have been necessary (would never expect the wife to drive that amount of time). A Train journey home was out of the question as it was proving to be expensive for the ticket, and showing a 15 hour return trip including three changes, this would also include booking time off work.

On top of this factor in temporary Insurance for the car and the possibilities of any mishaps en route, this way the car is delivered as it stands now.
