What would be my best course of action?. Hi
Hi there,we have been trying for some time now to source a good rear bumper
for our Copperleaf red 53 plate saloon, with no luck whatsoever. Question is should we repair the existing bumper which has been damaged in the centre of the bumper or find another bumper in good condition and have it resprayed?. Any advice and suggestions would be very much appreciated. As you know, ever the same. Roy and Rosebud. (Old man and frail Old Lady). Take good care of each other. |

It would depend on the amount of damage Roy, if it's minimal, I would be tempted to get it repaired. However if it's heavy damage, what you could do is source a second hand bumper , there are plenty on eBay.
Here is one in the correct colour http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/rover-75-r...0AAOSwtnpXi~Pb

Roy,
Don't buy that bumper off ebay (sorry Rich) it's quite badly damaged and will need to be repaired and repainted! If you can put some pictures of your damaged bumper I can tell you if it's repairable or if you would be better off with another bumper? Tom.

Bumer
Quote:
to put pictures on the posts but have failed as many times as I have tried Our bumper has had a ding in the centre, damaging the chrome trim beyond repair. At the left side the paintwork is bubbling and cracked, and the paintwork Is peeling in a number of places. To be honest I think it is beyond repair. I will endeavour to source another bumper in good condition and another colour, and have it resprayed. I was planning to go to the last Nano meet of year, but not in the condition our car is in .Thank is for your views. God bless you. As you know, ever the same.
