Default spring paint codes

can somebody give me some help, im looking for correct springs for rear of my car after wrong ones being fitted and my car is a 2.5 v6 160+ saloon 2002 model and springs im looking at for rear have a purple and green square on them, can anyone tell me if they are suitable i have looked at info on here but find it confusing

Might be worth just buying set lowering springs for your car ?

been told springs have RM on them with a purple and green block on them and they measure 240mm can anyone say if these are correct for the MG ZT 2,5 v6 160+

Rimmer Bros have a lot of info regarding spring codes and colours on their website.....below is an extract; there is a list of colour codes, and you should be able to work out which springs are suitable if you can find the label under your rear seat squab.

''Product Description

The Spring and Damper Identification Label is located under the rear seat squab and contains identification codes (CI codes) for the springs and dampers fitted to that specific vehicle, when manufactured.''

ive looked at all that thanks but trouble is car is 3miles away and im sure when i looked before it was worn off the sticker IIRC but was just wandering what car RM purple/green was for

According to the Rimmer listing (link above), Code RM/violet are for the diesel/rear (Part Number RKB101431).

yeah but what are the purple and green blocks for and are they for 75 or ZT because of the hight difference
