Default V8 help required please

Hi Guys
I have been contacted by a gentleman in the NW who needs a water pump for his Rover 75 V8, said gent is in his late 70s and has no internet so this is a plea for help.. is there a member who would/could help him out with info advice via telephone? he is going to call me again this evening and would be happy for me to pass his contact details to anyone either on here or via the 260 forum who could help him out.
I don't know the gent but he sounds genuine enough and says the car is his daily drive at the moment..
Thanks Ian

I have put a post on the 260s.

I have only a small understanding of the pump situation. I know it is not difficult to re-fit a replacement (readily available) but it is a bumper off job.

In theory Brown and Gammons has water pumps in stock. May not be up to date though. Part number is PEB000130.

I was at Dreadnought only a few weeks ago spent I nice hour or so chatting to Brian and Paul about MGs/Motor Racing.. Interesting to see the race V8 still there. I just need that Lotto win and I would have one hell of a track day car.
Cheers

Andy, just come across your post on the 260s about two types of water pump, long nose and short nose. Do you know if they are interchangeable?

I haven't had any bother with Brown and Gammons but some have ordered what turned out to be "ghost parts".
