Advice on Fire Stick.

Finally got my fire stick working, B.T. improved my upload speed from 10 to 15.
Works ok in living room but not too good in bedroom,would it be better if i upgraded my reception to fibre optic.

Hi Jackatesme,

If its working well in your living room, it means your internet connection and wireless are good enough in your living room.

If its not working so well in your bedroom, you can be confident that the problem is your wireless signal strength.

Sometimes, it is recommended to try and move the wireless device (Fire Stick) closer to the wireless router, or vice versa. I tend to recommend that you keep your wireless router plugged in to the BT master socket as moving the router anywhere else will make your internet speed suffer.

You can purchase wireless extenders that plug in to a wall socket and extend your wireless to more parts of your house. This is probably the preferred solution here. They are usually very easy to configure. Simply plug them in to a electrical outlet somewhere between your wireless router and your Fire Stick, configure it as per the usual manual, and your done.
