Default Headlight Warning Indicator

Replacement H7 on pre facelift Halogens showed warning after a few weeks so bought another new bulb but the warning lights still on. Any ideas or do I need to be reseating every bulb and checking the others?

The warning lights reset themseleve when they can detect a new bulb is fitted

Sounds like you've been unlucky with the bulb(s) or you have another problem

First check is that all the lights work

Assuming you have the highline pack telling you it's that headlamp bulb then check for frayed wires in the loom leading to the lamp unit. If it's just a normal bulb out warning then check one or both tail lights haven't failed.

The replacement H7 you mention. Was that because the original bulb had blown ???

If not then you have a poor connection at the bulb holder.

No the bulb was working fine. But, on setting 1 it wasnt working so I used a new bulb. New bulb did the same thing. And I checked for chafed wires and cant find any. Not an earthing problem?

best get the voltmeter out and check for voltage at the bulb socket then work back from there.

How about the wires shown in T-Cuts post above. All OK ???

I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a corroded pin in the light switch module plug. Cleaned and WD 40'd and now all Working again.
