High Line Unit and Sat Nav

Hi Guys sorry if this is the right part of the forum to post this just got a rover 75 and want to put one of these in with all the bits what would i need to look for please

Best suggestion, is not to even consider attempting to retro fit, it is a major task.

You would need -

The head unit/display; the radio module; the TV module; the Satnav receiver/cd; satnav antenna; a wheel control interface adaptor; a CD multichanger (optional); and finally the wiring looms and metal brackets to mount them. You might also consider you need the HK amps + speakers + subs.

It takes a considerable amount of effort and know how to install if you can get the bits needed and they will be very expensive to buy even second hand. You most sensible option is to look at fitting one of the new Sean Double Din units. That does all that the Hi-line did + a great deal more and is much more up to date. I swapped over from Hi-Line to the DD.

Hi Harry thanks for that i have one in my MG and just got a Rover 75 and was thinking of keeping it original

Hi paul

just removed all this kit from my ztt it does look good but the sat nav is slow and clunky the head unit has anolog TV + a tape slot and a seperate cd player. it also requires a small unit to get the steering wheel controls to work + you will require a harness if you can find one. As per Harry one of radio guys dd unit fits like a glove and is made for the car. Good luck however you proceed.

Are you selling your Kit? as I need a radio tuner, mine has suffered a good soaking in the boot, and will not tune into any FM stations anymore.

As for the cable loom, a German company (Kufatec.de) sells them. You can use the loom of a BMW E39, with the options you want. Good seller, and excellent cabling, better than original!

By the way, I have an original Radio module and a TV modul if you want?

Speak to Corin Messenger. He has two cars for breaking which both have Hiline systems in so the looms would be available as well as the various bits and bobs.
