Service
Hi, My V6 Club SE is on 64,000 miles and it's a 51 Plate, Can anyone tell me , is it due a service and also is it due the dreaded cam belt change, if so both are going to be pretty expensive im sure.
Thanks Paul |

Brace yerself.....
Yes get the belts done! 7 years is 1 too many, I just had mine done at 6 years old and only 36000 miles! Service and cam belts changed on my V6 ZT. I got it done at a former MGR dealer near where I work in Croydon (Surrey), and it cost me £910, gulp. Luckily nothing else needed doing apart from the service.
When I got it MOT'ed at my local Nationwide Autocentre in Surrey, I asked them how much the belts would cost with them, he looked up on his computer and he said "about £900". So for a non-lates price your looking at about £900 But for that price they did valet and properly clean the ZT, and its running SO SMOOOOOOOOOOOOTH now! Think how much it'd cost you if the belts went, there are 3 belts and 24 valves to break if the belts go! Cheers David Last edited by DJO; 21st April 2008 at 10:49.. |
