Default Rover 75 Central locking problem

Hi guys and girls New member here looking for a little help..

I have what seems to be a common problem as in the central locking is not working as it should.. It unlocks fine from both fobs, but when I try to lock it and just got a toot from the alarm horn as if a door is open.. No door light on dash, and the button by the hard brake locks all the doors as it should.. If I disconnect the battery for 5 mins, reconnect it all works as it should until I power up the ignition...
Have done LOTS of googling and so I have tried.... btw its a 02 plate 2.0CDT connoisseur...

Plenum drains - clear
Bonnet swicth - Fine
Diesel Heater - seems fine
Had the door card off all seems to be well checked all fuses etc...
At a loss what to check next seem to have covered most things google chucks up, any help or pointers would be superb..

Cheers all

Darren

You haven't mentioned whether you have had your battery checked?

My central locking played up when my battery was low on charge, the car not having been used much. Now it is used daily there are no issues.
