Default BTCC Silverstone Meet?

Looking to do some Motorsport this year, would love to do the F1 again, but cant see it happening.

So this thread is more of an idea thread, rather than anything confirmed.

I wondered if there is any interest in having a meet at Silverstone for the BTCC weekend?

Its the 28th/29th of September and I figured Silverstone as
a) I cant seem to fit any other in
b) Its fairly central.

Me, I was thinking of camping, again not sure where

And if I read this link right, if we apply as a Club (would need permission) we get weekend tickets for £18 as apposed to the £32

http://www.silverstone.co.uk/events/.../?tab=Book-now

Any interest out there?

Thanks
Simon

I could be persuaded.................Easily
Would be just the Sunday raceday for me though, I work Saturdays and only reserve a Saturday off for F1 meets.
Silverstone is only a two hour drive for me so not a problem there
Keep us posted Simon and by the way I shall be doing Brands Hatch and Snetterton again this year

If I read it right chaps, it means we get in for £18 per person, and we get a free club parking area within the complex.

Seems a bit too good to be true , will investigate further, then approach the club and see where it goes

Thanks for the interest.

Simon

Mmmmmm not sure a club application is viable, cant see that many folk being interested

Would need 25 (within reason, I would think we could get away with 20)

Email response below

Hello Simon,

Many thanks for your email.

I can confirm that the ticket price of £18 is per person and provides 1 x weekend roving grandstand ticket.

We ask that a minimum requirement of 25 cars is met for the display (however, within reason I am willing to accept smaller displays).

To be eligible for the ticket and club discount I ask that you complete the attached application form as the nominated person for the Club. I will then set up a booking code for you, and we will then accept a group booking from yourself on behalf of your club for tickets.

A few weeks prior to the Event all vehicle passes for internal parking will then be provided to you, along with the tickets to distribute to your club.

With regards to internal parking areas, this is determined based on numbers and the type of ground required.

If you require any further information please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Kind Regards,

Amy

I cant Stu, realistically time wise with other commitments, I could only do Rockingham or Silverstone.

But dont let that stop anyone sorting one out elsewhere

Hi Simon...

Stick a post up in South Central mate... The Milton Keynes meets are very well attended and not far from Silverstone...

As said, put a post up and I will do all I can to get the numbers up to the magic 25

Pete
