To true, but a test is a test and Ido believe that motorcyclist look after their bikes better than most car drivers do their cars.

Four years is (maybe) acceptable for those cars in private hands owned from new, if they have been looked after, but certainly not for company owned cars. My company cars would have possibly been twice round the clock at that age. The testing needs to be based on mileage, but no idea how they achieve or police that...

Motorcycles are totally different; one might have to put an overcoat on to get out into the weather and check a car for lights, tyres and loose items, on a bike, one should be aware almost instantly.
Motorcyclists are not are more safety aware, be it only for their protection. All drivers should be constantly aware of the safety factors for themselves, their passengers and other road users - which leads me back to the "one eyed monsters" on the road, of any age. |
