Default Hi! New Member in China

Hi. By way of introduction... I've been living in Shenzhen, China for about 18 months. Bought a new MG7 in Oct '09 on a "couldn't turn it down" deal. (Does that mean I can claim the title of longest duration MG7 owner on the forum? )
I found this forum because I've been looking to upgrade the suspension. The car is a Navy Blue, Base version with a stick. After 22k km, almost nothing has gone wrong and my only real complaint is that it is a bit like driving a sofa.
I also have a Green MGB, made in the last couple of days before Abingdon closed which has been converted to chrome bumper, lowered and had a few engine mods. Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to move it here.

Hope to hear from Rover owners generally, but particularly from MG7 and Rowe owners in China!

Welcome here! And we love to see some pictures
And yes, you will be the longest owner

As far as I know there is another member (Roelof Mooiweer), same region as you. He bought a MG 7 1.8 Racing Green a few weeks ago.

Over here the model had two brands... Rover 75 and MG ZT, where MG was the sporty version, en Rover the sofa-like version. As I read your topic, I assume the MG 7 drives likes a Rover 75 (I love that sofa-drive )

Yeah, I think SAIC have tried to make MG a "luxury" brand so it's really quite sloppy compared to what I'm used to. I plan to go over to the tech forums and ask whether ZT suspension bits are a bolt-in replacement for the MG7. Hoping somebody may know the answer there, because everybody here wonders what I'm on about .

I don't have any photos of the MG7, so I substituted a pic of the MGB.

Your no longer alone! I'm in Shanghai and been in the forum since last year but did not pay up till this month so now I can see the whole platform. Are you still in SZ?

I love the look of the Rowe (Pronounced Wrongway), I just wish they would import them over here
