CD disc cartridge stuck
Just got an ZT-T found the NO SRC when trying to play the CD player. Went in the back found cartridge won't pop out. From other threads it's a cog or worm wheel. There's is a 'how to' but I can't know find it again
Anyone pop a link up if they know where it is? Or any info about the fault if you've had it? Thanks. |

CHM 604 MP3 are the only markings, no brand name.

If there is a single plug into the side, it is an aftermarket alpine one. That model no is definitely an alpine one though. Is your stereo a rover fit one?

Open it's sliding door and give it the cartridge a bash with a rubber hammer shaft or similar..

Hmm, I could have sworn my own had 3 plugs going into it.
Well that's great news. The cd changer I linked to, will work along with other alpine changers going back a number of years. At least 20! The model you have is the mp3 model (obviously), the one I linked to, is not. If you smash it up,ie the delicate suspension units, using the mallet or a firm finger/screwdriver, you know their replacements are not expensive
