I had the mp3 one in mine as standard, it is not alpine but is a rover figment and works with the round alpine style plug, analoge, sadly they don't work on the highline digital system, I tried, all the mechanicals inside are identical and all look interchangable between the 2 types of cd changer, well 3 types. And now we know they all suffer with sticking.

Also all cartridges are interchangable I am running the mp3 cartridge in my alpine all ok.

I used to bash mine a lot, it didn't often stick, but I liked bashing it..

I have a Grom system now, so nothing to bash, and it works 100% anyway. but I do miss bashing the old one... innit....

Default CD player stuck

Hi guys, just had the same problem with CD player showing 'error or no cd' took advice and tapped front of auto changer and by magic cleared the fault. Amazing what you can cure with a hammer. Thanks to all who suggested this - saves a fortune!!

Just given my daughters unit a bash, and it works a treat.
(Thought the hammer trick was a joke.)
