WinCE head problem
Hi all, I have a WinCE head unit that I have enjoyed the use of for approx 2 years. However it suddenly no longer turns on apart from very occasionally and only for a few secs. A lot of the time it will show the boot screen but goes no further.
I have checked my 3 main wires with a multimeter in both car loom and head unit loom as well as all relative fuses. I also tried battery reset to no avail. Is there anything else I can do until I can test another stereo? Cheers |

Hi Stonerose , Sounds like a Power supply issue until you mention the boot screen ......... I have the firmware if you want to try , assuming it is one of ours? regards Sean |

Im having this same issue with my older Wince unit. Did anyone get to the bottom of this this?
As mine was supplied by Sean I could send it back to him for repair but are these repairable? Any pointers appreciated Cheers Jon

Unit is now totally dead after last attempted boot-up resulted in smoke coming from the back. I managed to catch some of the smoke in a jar and I might try and put it back in.
