Temp storage for windscreen
Hi guys,
The heated windscreen thing is coming closer. Getting it shipped out to me in The Netherlands will cost me 130 gbp. Which is a lot of money. I can drive up and down myself for that money. Shipping the heated windscreen to a UK address only costs 48 gbp. Which would make it a lot cheaper. Since I will be visiting the UK again in July, I was hoping that somebody is able to store my windscreen for 6 months in a dry and safe place. In July I will be travelling from Dover to Birmingham. So if somebody close to that route is willing to store my windscreen for me, I would be very thankfull. I will even be willing to get you a case of beer and a bag of crisps . The heated windscreen should be delivered somewhere around February. There is possibility that somebody else will play Pony Express to bring it to NL, but I can't promise that.

Thanks Neil. I'm currently discussing it with somebody close to London, but I'll keep your offer in mind.

Vinnie
I am less than 10 miles from there and collecting a couple of 260 members. No problem to hold your one. Although I could ship it to you for about the UK price (will check) to the Netherlands from Work. |

That sounds great Dominic! Is that form of shipping insured? I imagine a windscreen to be quite fragile, and the Dutch post system is not known for their care and attention (I believe the UK has the same problem?)

I will have a look but yes can insure it cheaply. As the value is not huge, I work for UPS so I can make sure it gets into the Netherlands Trailor ok I will watch the lads do it.
Once it gets close we can decide but no issue to hold it also until the summer |

That sounds really good. I would be very interested in knowing more about those prices and possibilities.
