I'm going to be very VERY cheeky now...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2510188164...#ht_500wt_1413 If anyone wants it and wants to pay outside of eBay I will of course knock 10% off (the final value fee I'd have to pay if it sold through eBay) - which makes it ~£242 Last edited by Jakg; 15th March 2012 at 21:57.. |

And now a properly helpful post:
Are there any decent tablets for sub-£250? Sort of. Playbook is good, but VERY limited. But what it does do, it does well and it's very, VERY cheap. PERSONALLY, the cheapo Android tablets (the Chinese ones, Archos ones etc) are rubbish. Too slow, poor screens, not got a proper version of Android, no market etc. I would say if you want an Android tablet, get one with the nVidia Tegra at least - my personal recomendation would be the Xoom or the Asus Transformer if you want 10", or if you want something smaller then the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9" is alright... but all of these will slightly push your budget. You can get an HTC Flyer for ~£200 and it'll run the new version of Android but it's just a bit too slow imo |

And a little pricey, ive seen new ones for that!
http://www.ebuyer.com/350467-motorol...sm3018aw2b1-sa Under £250 is difficult. There are a lot or Android ones that have come out recently that use the iPad 2 screen and look almost the same physically, BUT they all have one issue, no bluetooth!! It stopped me dead in my tracks. Some will work with bluetooth dongles, but thats just an added pain. An example of this is this: http://www.ebuyer.com/344245-scroll-...ablet-pc-54242 Uses the Allwinner A10 CPU, not fast, but has very good video playback abilities. However, no bluetooth. Doesnt have the market either, but thats fixable, bluetooth is much harder.

A member has expressed interest - it was a lot cheaper (£269) but I've just jacked the price up to make sure it doesn't sell before he comes to collect, but that if he changes his mind I can put the price back down without having to pay to relist.

Thats reasonable then.
Id say the Xoom, while not perfect is a good bet now. Decent price, and well featured. There are a few others that are worth looking at, the Aoson Wopad M12 or M19. Sounds dodgy, but is getting some support and is decent quality. Its uses many iPad parts, but is under £200. Its certainly better made than the Double Din radios we buy on here.. Its main issue is the use of Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Not really a tablet OS, but will still function well enough, and they have said it will get Android 4 soon.

If anyone is still interested DSG group shops are selling the Samsung Galaxy tab 8.9 for £279 ans Pixmania are selling doe £272, less with Quidco deals and cashback. Thats a stonking deal for a very very nice tablet.
