Hi Mike.
aside from what Mike (Noc) has said how much fuel do you have in the tank, is it above the 1/4 mark if not add some and see if it starts then ok, follow what Mike suggested. After those you may need to look at the O-rings on the High pressure Fuel Pump. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335297736...Bk9SR678j8fZYw

When my diesel did that it was the lift pump in the tank that had failed. A temporary fix was to keep the fuel tank topped up so it never went below half full. Once the pump arrived it was pretty straightforward to fit it, although you'll end up smelling of diesel.
Running a 2.5 now, so I have a different set of problems.

Thanks for the info guys. I spent some time on it today; ITP and UBP both chucking fuel out at a goodly rate (for some reason its a 54 plate but has both pumps?). Anyway, I popped the cover off the ECU side of the plenum. Dry as a bone. I then took the ECU out of its box - it has corrosion on the very bottom... Hmmm...
With the ECU out of the way, I had a good grovel in the plenum and found a small piece of what looks like industrial wipe laying stuck across the plenum drain. Now, I had the ECU die just before Christmas 2023 and it was one of the scuttle clips jammed in the hole so that was all rodded out and cleaned out, so where this was hiding?? So, I now need to get the ECU checked out/repaired (again)...
