They were made to last. I've had a 214 SEI and a 414 SLI and loved both cars. A little dated but super motors. Both were N reg and both in superb condition.

214SEi in nightfire red. Brilliant car, I had a 1995 M reg bought 9 months old with 11,000 on the clock, gave no trouble and for a 1.4 could really shift. Sold it in early 2002 after the clutch went for about £800, so asking £695 for one now seems high.

Yep absolutely right Mark.
The XW 214 was a considerably better built car than R40. My own car a shade under 20 years old has never let me down in 390,000 miles, and I will mourn it's eventual passing to tinworm. It is the best car I have ever owned, I have owned an awful lot of cars. Brian |
