Default hgf ........it 's not just rovers!!!!!

as some of you will know my synergie hdi blew it's turbo 4 weeks ago . since then it failed it's mot and then had problems with the engine electronics which resulted in a few new sensors needed. following that up last saturday the egr valve jammed open due to the new turbo overboosting.
just to add insult to injury while remedying the last problem oil was found on the surface of the coolant in the expansion tank . after testing a reading of 8% oil was found in the coolant which means the headgasket is leaking slightly. not looking forward to the bill as the engine has to be dropped out to remove the head.
keep an eye on your turbo's because when they go they can do more damage than you think:(

One or two of my worst nightmares have involved the Synergie, the engine was positioned by a sadist I'm sure. When running ok they make a great value people carrier.

New stuff ain't that wonderfull..

My Sons 2008 Fiat Grande Punto 1.9 Diesel , quite nice and very quick.

Under warranty ., its had a fair amount of its rubber suspension bushes replaced, to cure a noisey ride, a Seat belt pre tensioner ( seat airbag light on ( bin there ain't we ! )

and this weekend its rollbar drops links ( oops deja vous again) .

and a new EGR valve.... mind you it done nearly 19000 miles

And they tried to tell him the 3rd yearof the warranty is limited and these links are classed as wear & tear!! and not covered ....

Got hold of the service manager and bent his ear a shed load !! now its being done under warranty.
( PS I know the dealers MD ..)

My ZT's got a rattly Link I think .. but it is on 102,000 though!!
