Default Mk4 Nav DVD type

I recently bought a BM* Mk4 DVD nav computer and it works fine with my "old" map CD's.
However, it sort of defies the purpose using (and changing) CD's when I can have the lot on a DVD.
As I am looking to update to the latest 2008 version anyway, this could be the time to change over.
Does anybody know what the correct BM* DVD is called? eg. part no. or label.

Looking to buy on eBay.

Depending on what DVD I need I have seen prices from £99. Which is OK really.

Unhappy No takers on this?

Apparently there are several versions for the Beemers!
So which one should I get?
I don't want to pay for a DVD that may not work and then have to go through a lot of trouble and expenses selling it again.

Check the DVD system (from Disc) that you have with it to establish what you have.
It should be "High" there are others "Professional" etc which won't work.

As long as the Disc Covers Countries you want, is of correct Type "High", all should work OK.

Problem with most UK members is they may not buy the German main Version more like the UK or UK and Europe rather than purely Europe or Germany and Europe.
(Several editions for different regions)

I only have up to the 2007 (07-01) Retail boxed "Road Map Europe" "HIGH"
Part Number: T1000 - 11162 which may or may not give you help sourcing a 2008 version.

Plenty of Copies on EBay so check if you are after the real McCoy.

I don't have a DVD - only a CD with Scandinavia. But would like the Europe DVD as I drive a lot there.

I will check if there are any similarities with the new 2008-2 P/N.

Happy to help, Glad you are sorted.

I suggest to people to back up their DVD Map Disc,
so in event of any Faults occurring within unit, Water Ingress or disc Scratch.
Can save you money in long run,
(making a backup of your Disc for your use only in this instance is legal).
