Got a new handbrake compensator fitted today.
But not the modified type, instead we fitted the BMW Mini R50 R53 mod. Now 2 clicks and a lovely holding handbrake Big Thanks to Turbo Dave |

Not exactly today but over the weekend I have;
Removed the headlights, given them a good polish and can now just about see where I'm going (although given how foggy it was this morning it didn't make much difference). I used the auto glym kit from Halfrauds and was actually pretty impressed - comes with all bits to attach to your drill and then you just sand and polish away. I didn't do the greatest job ever but they're a lot better than they were and only took about 90 minutes including taking the bumper on and off. While the bumper was off I also changed the indicator bulbs as mine were starting to look pretty pale so think the MOT tester might pull them up next month. Also changed my rear number plate bulbs but have found the PCB is the cause of the problem so have a new one on order from Mat at DMGRS. As a final treat to myself I decided to replace the rather temperamental Sony head unit that came with the car for the 2nd hand Navall 2 that Sean briefly had up for sale. Now sitting here like a kid at Christmas waiting knowing that it won't arrive for a few more days yet! |

The grille badge on my saloon had seen better days long before it was my saloon, finally got round to changing it today - always prefered the way the pre-facelift badge looks on the front grille.
Before : After : Really think it makes a huge difference. |

Always thought that the pre facelift badge was more in keeping with the Rover 75.

Fitted the door finishers Stubs sold me, first time I've seen a set of new and boxed OE finishers for over a decade so well pleased.
Was so happy I decided to wind up the neighbours who can't understand my ''obsession'' with rovers by putting up this sign. Much fun |
