Rover 75 cdt spares or repairs -reduced to £150
I recently tried to sell my 1999 silver manual Rover 75 on Ebay but several time wasters later I decided to withdraw it. My trading name on Ebay is overthepoints if anyone wants to check out my feedback and honesty!
This is a reluctant sale of my Rover 75 but due to my new car she who must be obeyed says it must go off the drive. Some problems I had with car for your interest Water in footwell behind drivers seat-cured under engine plastic tray removed power steering failed-replaced starter motor failed replaced Bonnet lock seized-fixed but may need looking at again now as its been standing rear springs broke-replaced 2nd gear worn-box reconditioned(clutch renewed at same time) OAT guage failed-still failed. Peculiar noises from air system then a loud noise with loss of power and black smoke. This turned out to be the plastic manifold which split but paid Swadlincote diesel nearly £2000 to fix this(they replaced the turbo and intercooler etc and then when they finally found out what fault was they tried to glue manifold) Manifold was later fixed by Cottage Garage West Bromwich for less than £100. I have removed rear seat and lifted fuel sender out to pump out the fuel as there was full tanks in there so that needs putting back. I dont really want to sell this car to anyone, so if you are interested message me, I would like to know what you are going to do with it and what you want it for. I bought this car 12 years ago and have loved it and still do. I bought as I thought it was already a classic and its obvious that in years to come these cars will be amazing classics. I photographed my car outside Longbridge as they were knocking it down, only to find out weeks later that those cars with the black sills were made at Cowley-what a pisser! PICTURES TO FOLLOW This is the advert I put on Ebay 165 000 GENUINE MILES, TWO OWNERS INCLUDING ME !I've owned it since 2002. Has a MOT until August 5th 2014 but ive bought a new car so its out of use on SORN on my drive and she who must be obeyed says it must go. Its really being offered for spares but it will drive away, it is MOToed and it can be repaired easily . . The known faults Rear Bumper has been scuffed and painted. not really that noticeable Air bag light on ABS light on(one sensor U/S suspect rear) one side of black Front plastic grille broken by Pheasant walking across M1 (Unbelievable but true) see picture Petrol tank straps corroded ash tray and drinks holder wont lock in small windscreen chip mark(since i had it) stone mark on bonnet-stone from gravel lorry Starter motor or solenoid has failed(this is why it is out of service) I am convinced it is solenoid and not starter motor as that has been reconditioned and it clicks when energises(kit is about £13 to repair) No gas in air con Elec mirrors stopped working both sides Outside air temp indications U/S One(drivers) elec window switch was broken by Swadlincote Diesel when it was repaired by them. It still works perfectly well, just a little awkard Interior and exterior needs cleaning as its been out of use since December 2013 THE GOOD BITS Battery OK and charged full every month since out of use 4 great tyres-one virtually new Two keys avail one with elec locking/alarm fob Ive spent a fortune on this over the years on her. bills available New injectors a couple of years back so no smoke Does not burn oil-great BMW diesel engine Spent around £700 on last MOT (what a prat) Also previously Recond turbo, Recond gear box New clutch and thrust bearing new intercooler Recond power steering Recond starter Removable tow bar New rear brakes including discs last MOT New rear springs YOU MUST COLLECT WITHIN 7 DAYS OF AUCTION END-located between Highley & Bridgnorth by Severn Valley Railway (have a great day out) IT WILL DRIVE AWAY - I HAVE A FRIENDLY MECHANIC WHO WILL MOT AND DO STARTER MOTOR IN BROMSGROVE REASONABLY IF YOU WISH Last edited by Captainjon; 26th July 2014 at 08:11.. |

Hi there Jon?
Interested in this and only just down the road in Halesowen. Does the car have to be "bump" started at the moment, or does it start after a few goes Pictures would be great if you can. Cheers Dave

To comply with Club rules, you need to post a price for the trailer as well
Good luck

The car has been standing since December 2013, although battery is charged monthly. That offside tyre isnt punctured and now blown up.
Thank you for blowing up and merging pictures |
