Default Disc retaining screws

Having to drill these out. Does anyone know he thread size please ? Looks around 10mm but not metric as far as I can see.

They're M10 x 1.5 with a Torx 50 head socket

And made of plasticine....... I had to give up with brand new ones they are that poorly made, not that they do a sight once the wheel is on anyway..

If they are tight give them a good clout with a big blind punch and lump hammer before swinging on them - saves rounding them out.

as colvert said get one of these perfect for jobs like this. i have had one for years very usefull

................ and when you do get them out, make sure that the threads are coated with coppaslip (other rust preventers and lubes are available) on refitting. They do not need to be "overtight" when refitting either.

Exactly. If they were intended to hold the disc in place there would be several equally spaced. They're more of a paperclip than a staple. They just prevent the disc coming off when the road wheel's removed.

Still got mine from my 1970'S motorcycle days when you needed one to shift any engine bolt on a Jap bike.
