Cdt not starting
My diesel is struggling to start and engine light has come on. It starts if I crank it for long time but cuts out, I have had to leave it supermarket car park. It is low on fuel I hope it hasn't run out!!

sounds like low fuel pressure, get your tank around the half way level and let the pump prime a couple of times, if it starts then check your in tank pump is working. Is your under bonnet pump loud?. Lee.

Mine is a face-lift, I was under the impression it didn't have an under bonnet pump?

If it's an early facelift, it may have an ubp. Open the bonnet and check? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mine is a 54 plate and I'm pretty sure I don't have one.

My 2004 '54 certainly does have an ubp. Wonder what the criteria was for fit or not? Probably 'have we got any in at the mo or not?' Seems a bit like pot luck.
