"One Lady Owner" or "Mature Owner"

Why do people put these in ads as a selling point

The old dame to the left of me, curbs here wheels or mounts the pavement each and every time she tries to park here micra and neighbour flat cap Brian sure gets that gear box singing trying to find those gears

These ads do make the cars sound rather good, but then spelling grammar etc, always makes me wonder about attention to detail.

Really impressed, showroom, nay, concourse condition, and a 180bhp re-map too
And only ten years of MOT history missing.

Default Need explanation please

As an owner of the same model advertised, and being unfamiliar with some of the terms used relating to our cars, can someone explain the meaning of the wording in the advert: "ECU update" (how is this done, who can do it, and is it necessary anyway?) and "Hi memory BCU"? Outwardly, it looks a lovely car but would apparently need some money spent on it on the unseen bits.

I can explain the wording for you in the case of this car the wording ECU update relates to installed using a cheap and nasty Chinese chip tuning tool, a generic mapping file, or indeed a stolen mapping file.

His claim of 180 BHP is somewhat wide of the mark too, it simply isn't possible to attain those figures on a standard car

So definitely a case of buyer beware

It's certainly an advert a buyer could get sucked into.

It's also a good pointer as to why anyone considering buying a 75/ZT should join this club first and ask the questions. Stay safe guys.

I think it's the Ebay one that sold for £800.00 and he is outing it sharpish......could only of just got V5 back...........I messaged the original Ebay seller who said it was on a 54 plate and when I asked if underneath was surface corrosion or rot he said a bit of both if anyone is bidding I would ask how long he has owned it......already over £1000 ...not good if totally rotten.

Looks a nice enough thing, but as there's no mention of a cam belt change, it's at least 6 years over-due.

180bhp on a diesel.... Sorry but I've come across this seller a few times before and he sells pirated software, and suspect cars, along with false statements like 180bhp, I'm sure Brian could verify this, I'm pretty sure he's come across this seller before.
