Default Vent

I've noticed there is a small oval shaped vent on the dash, just to the left of the steering column. Has anyone got any ideas what it is as i was thinking of putting a USB port socket in it's place. Thanks minimosher666

There's a pipe attached. I believe it's a sensor for the climate control. More answers to follow I'm sure.

Yes, interior air is drawn through this 'vent' by induction using the pressure drop created by the heater fan. Its temperature is measured and used by the aircon/climate control system to maintain the required settings.

well i won't be taking that out then lol. anyone put a usb port in their car yet, and how and where?
