Default Navall 3 was there ever any update for it?

Having only recently upgraded from a Navall WinCE to a Navall 3, I'm experiencing one or two issues that from reading around seem to have been experienced by others.
  • Brightness set to Automatic - screen goes black when headlights are turned on.
  • Brightness set to Nighttime - screen goes black until power off/power on.
  • FM Radio stations seem to lose presets sometimes
  • No microphone input selection on General Settings menu
There was a lot of talk about a potential update to the Navall 3, but that all seemed to go quiet. Was there ever a fix or a workaround for these issues? (I've set brightness to Daytime for now).
Would a different radio app to the default one work any better?
My internal microphone seems dead which I'm assuming is because there's a hidden setting somewhere where the external microphone enabled.

Appreciate any help or pointers.

For Mic see your other post.

For the dimming and losing stations problem is it possible you have the permanent live and switched live reversed somehow? Not sure it would cause that, but I would check all wiring.

The update never appeared, I know Sean was trying but I don't think it ever got released, due to difficulties installing it.

Having said that mine has been stable and reliable, with the exception of the Bluetooth dialler which is just not very nice.

Thanks Mike
I don't see how they could have got reversed, I simply plugged the loom connector into the back of the unit, same as I did with the old WinCE device.

Pity about the update as some of the bugs would seem to be OS/firmware specific ones and would have been cured by upgrading to 5.1 I'd have been willing to give it a shot having rooted and flashed a few phones in my time.
