Going to Dreadnought on Wednesday for a service on my 260 so will check if it is still there.
There is only two zt 500's both built by Dreadnaught the one that the MGOC had was the supercharged one No 001 and was raced by Paul Luti of Dreadnaught. The other one was built for European saloon racing and was not supercharged, i think this was eventually shipped to Australia.
Hope the service goes well..

I think if memory seves me right Dreadnought only built one and they still own it which is the one Dreadnought raced, but would sell if the price was right. Someone did try to copy it and it was up for sale a few years ago on eBay priced at £67,000. The MG XPower V8 was built by MG not Dreadnought and this was the quad cam supercharged one and I don't think Paul raced it

Someone on here owns this beauty, I can't remember who though. Pics taken at Ripon show last year.

Looks like you are right Les. According to the V8 book the xp 500 was made as a press release toy and the two race cars made after that hence the xp 500 being no 001. The race car that Dreadnought raced was supercharged and the european one being n.a. They're not raced any more but i suspect that Dreadnought get out in their's on their special track days that they run throughout the season.

Had my 260 serviced at Dreadnought today, they definitely still have the ZT 500 Race Car, they built it from scratch, and yes it is for sale at the right price!

Default Dreadnought MG ZT?

Willshot,

How is that X Power look-a-like an 02 plate, but a facelifted car? curious.

Cheers, Muttley

That was is discussed on .Org in 2005 and they mention it having facelift panels. They say that the registration of this very unique ZT is BU02OEM.

I thought every registration was unique?

Thats the purpose of the system!

Unless they are referring to the "OEM" ending, but that would apply to at least one car from each registration area, each year; Not that unique then? Hmmm.

cheers, Muttley

I meant the ZT was unique not the registration.
