Well, what kind of brush would recommend for one of the mongram range of colours, or should I be looking at a roller, if so, would the sponge one I use for the ceiling be of any use. I dont want to get a new one, as I only bought it four years ago.

:P

Seriously, though that is a nice gesture, and welcome!

I find that cat fur gives great coverage with a beautifully smooth finish. And there's the added bonus that it's self cleaning!

That's a really kind gesture - thanks for posting!

My car is going to need some paintwork in the next little while - one of the rear doors has previously suffered a large impact and has been filled/sprayed by the previous owner to a very poor standard. I've got a replacement door in the wrong colour so would like to re-spray it in HFF Pearlescent British Racing Green.

My rear bumper is also in need of rectification due to a large dent on one corner. Probably replacement is the way to go so I'll have to source a face-lift rear bumper with parking sensors and spray that.

I'm currently in the process of building a workshop/garage to enable me to work on my cars so I'll be in touch when it's ready!

All the best for now ;-)

I believe AWZ 101840MNH Silver Sparkle wheel paint (new mix) is hard to come by. Currently searching for a source. Any advice please.

And Aurora too at £400 a pint.

I really miss my late father-in-law who was trouble shooter in chief for Kearsleys paint factory here in Ripon until they relocated to Newcastle in 1971. He would tint up a pot by eye to match any faded panel on my Triumphs and Rovers.

Many thanks for the offer Paintman.

Just did a re paint on my doer upper 75 in Copperleaf I bought cheap.
The sun over here rips through clear coats pretty badly and my project car had peeling clear coat on the boot, bonnet and roof.
As you can buy acrylic paint and laquer over the counter pretty well everywhere here, did the top of the car in acrylic and clear coated it ,did a dent in the bottom of the passenger door using a 1k colour and primer and a 2k clear coat.
Certainly alot easier doing the clearcoat in 2k, glossy right off the gun and dries hard as.
I have to admit though, the acrylic whilst not as hard a finish as 2k does have a deeper look colour wise.
Probably why alot of the hot rod guys get their cars done in acrylic but if its a daily driver I think 2k is the way to go.
I think one of the paint guys who sold me the colour and 2k stuff said that Copperleaf was a pearloid colour so only needed to be 1k but the clear coat is 2k (has a hardner mixed in with it ).

Wooah, I wasn't expecting that, hello all that responded, I am off work till new year so I'll take a look when I get back in. But I know this the monogram stuff ain't given away. Please also try rhino hair roller, only white rhino mind, superb finish/coverage etc, not a common application but effective, lol .
