Hi all, my dad has asked me to try and sell this for him as he just wants it gone to try and make some of his money back.
He got the car about 6 months ago, and it has been a good runner for most of that time. The clutch went not long after buying the car, so it was taken to a local garage that the school he works at uses, and the clutch was replaced. A couple of months after this, the gearbox failed and he had a recon box fitted. Anyway, last week, the clutch pedal went down and stayed there! They got it recovered to a garage to have it checked and they seem to think that when the clutch was fitted, the slave and master weren't, and its one of those thats gone. This garage has quoted over £1000 () to do the work but that is with a new clutch, slave and master. He has said he wont pay that and hes had enough of the car, and went and bought a zafira, and was prepared to scrap this one. I think its got to be worth more than scrap to someone who knows how to change the slave or master, apparantly its a labour intensive job as you have to strip out all the dash? So i said id put it up here incase anyone was after a cheap fixer upper family car. Its a 2000 W reg 2.0 petrol, manual, grand espace 7 seater, tax til end of march, mot til sept, aircon works, 73k miles, recon gearbox and new clutch, exhaust replaced, just needs hydraulics sorting. Some age related wear and tear but in pretty good condition all round. He just wants to try and claim back some of the money hes spent out on it really so not looking for too much, all offers considered but hoping for £300-400. The car is in Banbury, Oxon.
