Sat in the kitchen, gas fire on with a beer and cooking minced meat stew with buttered mash for scran tonight. Isn't life great

I'll bet someone somewhere will contradict me, but I'm sure we've had more frosts and generally cold weather already this Winter than we had in the whole of last Winter

We had to stitch two sheets together and stuff 'em full of second hand newspapers to keep us warm.
I remember when the milk on the doorstep was frozen so hard, you had to use a brace and bit to get through the cream to the milk below.
