Default Door cards

the last time I took my door cards off I noticed that the inside hadles had previously broken and were glued on, I broke this as I was in a hurry and had to wedge it back in. I am going to try to cure the door rattle with some fir tree clips as they're starting to annoy me now. I want to also glue the handles back on, what glue do I need please?

Try plastic cement used to assemble airfix kits, be careful not to glue it to the door card, you can only apply glue to the small tabs. The only real cure is to replace the handle as they most often come back off.

If you remove the entire handle from the door, then place the embellisher ring in place so the tabs go through slots in the black backing.
Now you have two choices....
A put a dab of Araldite on the silver parts where they protrude through
B using a soldering iron, or heated knife, weld the tabs into the black backing.

Then refit the handle carefully

Nip along to MacDonalds and obtain a drinking straw.

Now cut 3/4" from one end of the straw, and using the other part of the straw, push the cut part over the sill button.
This takes up the free play between the chrome finisher and the sill button, and removes the rattle

Hope this helps

Double sided numberplate tape. (if you've got some). Still in place 3 months later.

Hahaha, I did the same thing, got a McDonalds straw and then tried to get it to fit over the locking pin, but doesn't fit. I also tried to unscrew the pin but it didn't come off!

I can only assume that
a, the straws are bigger up North
b, the door pins are different girth on Mk1 to Mk2 ??

LOL

Think they mean cut it length ways to make it wider and then slide over the pin. will try it tomorrow
