Where can i get a wireing diagram for the steering controls, so that if i buy one of these steering controllers from canada i will be able to wire it in......

If you mean the steering control cables in the car loom, they are Blue/Purple and Blue/Orange, it depends which stereo unit your car originally had as to which connector they are in, if it was a single DIN stereo they are in a green mini ISO connector.

Yer just put on of these media things in and getting it all sorted.....got reversing camera working now......just got the steering controls to sort.....the cd player i took out was VDO with two seperate wires coming out beside the big white iso connector....think its a green plug on the end...is this the steering control wire...maybe someone has a diagram

In that case the two cables in the green connector are the steering control cables. They are connected to the switches on the steering wheel which, when pressed, vary the resistances in the circuit, the changes are recognised by the head unit and the function alters accordingly. For them to work with an aftermarket head unit an adapter lead is usually needed to convert the switches various resistances to ones recognised by the replacement head unit.

The head unit is Meos and no one has info on this head but it does have IR remote so was going to try one of these units from canada which learns the functions.....so when you press the steering control it changes the signal to IR signal and hey presto you are operateing your head unit.....will let you know if it works....
