Hello Mark,

I read similar reports to yours before renewing my bushes. I chose to remove the lower arm and found that when the horizontal line marked on its end is aligned parallel with the base of the bush housing (as specified in RAVE 60-14) there is no problem. The housing will sit flat on the subframe, the bolts can be inserted easily and no pliers are necessary. David might find this helpful.

This may only apply to original factory arms if aftermarket parts don't have the alignment line present, in which case your method can be used.

Simon

Ha ha. If you ever have the opportunity to try that, I would be interested to hear how you get on with it.

Hi Simon
I have done the Marinabrian method many time and it makes the job simple it seems the way you mince about doing them I would have done 10 by the time you had done just one simple bush, If you doubt that Brian's method works feel free to pop up and watch me do one side while you do the other

Dave

I see the majority backing the obvious favourite (foregone conclusion) so I'll be observer and hobnob custodian. Bankrupt Bookie doesn't sound appealing.
