Are these the 306 V2 version? and is the housing what I will find my current door speakers housed in?

Do these tweeters fit okay or do you need to cut the aperture?

Hi Jackboy
I fitted edge 6.5" ED306 easy to fit where the OEM speakers are. Hardest part is removing the door cards they're a real PIA lol. I must ad
It I left the original tweeters in as the edge ones needed a little fettling and im not to good at that sort of thing lol.

Clive

what sort of sound quality are you getting from the edge speakers?

i'm after a better setup, hopefully with more clarity and more bass!

Yes, I hadn't realised that the door cards had to be removed, that is something beyond the capabilities of my arthritic fingers!!
Happy to buy the speakers and pay someone to fit them though. Can bring the car to you and pass the tools if there is anyone near Colchester!!!!

Speak to Jeff (coolcat) he does this for a living and has very reasonable rates. He's in Clacton so not that far from you.

Disconnected the rear speakers and put something like this in the boot: http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpi...tive-bass-tube

And this Head Unit: http://www.clarion.com/gb/en/product...440585952.html

Sorry for taking a while to get back to you on this, only just getting round to installing them, the do fit in the original holes on their own though they are able to rotate, if you use the supplied mounting brackets then you will need to do some cutting, I'm leaving as is so I don't have to do any cutting, might put glue or sealent on the back in future if the rotating becomes an issue

Well, had Jeff (Coolcat) fit a pair of front component speakers to my car last weekend. I am so glad I didn't attempt it myself with the removal of the door card, it was a ****** of a job.

Anyway, all done and what a massive difference it has made to the sound.....brilliant!

Thanks to Jeff and all the guys on here
