Default diesel performance chip box tuning ROVER 75 CDTI CDTI

Does anyone in the club know much about these units as I am thinking of buying one for my CDTI. They are selling them on EBay for around $90.00.

Has any of the club members actually bought one and were they easy to fit and was the performance noticable more than a Synergy which I already have.

Thanks

These cheap analogue boxes or in some cases, a 2p resistor give decent tuning boxes a bad name. Buyers fit them, experience all sorts of problems and then tar all plug-in boxes with the same brush.

If you want more power consider a remap, but you are likley to run into smoke problems as the limitation is the air supply, not the fuel. The turbo is too small to provide enough air for more than about a 35% increase over standard or about 170bhp.

Or you could just fit one of Roverron's boxes: http://tuning-diesels.com/Synergy1/tu3all.htm.

He is too much of a gent to push his own merchandise .
