So had the starter motor replaced and all now is as it should be. Hopefully I will get a break from repairs now for a while as I fear this may be my last year with the 75..

Thanks for the update Ross, and I'm pleased that the solution was relatively simple. 100,000 miles is a good life for a starter motor so don't be too hard on the old 75 will you.
