I've had a tourer roof on the roof of my car and drove at motorway speeds. No problem as it was lying flat and cuts through the air. A bonnet is the same, its weight alone will hold it down. Just strap it to the bars and you won't have any issue.

Iknow you can get a bonnet from an MG6 in the back of an MG6
