raised letters and numbers on gearbox

R75 Saloon 1999 2.5 v6 auto.Hi all, don't know if this has been asked before but cannot find anything on here. On my auto gearbox on the inside of the end cover (reverse piston housing cover) are raised letters and numbers, PR000 is on mine, what do they mean, i've seen other covers with PW000, PR012, same gearbox JF506e. Need to know if i have to buy a end cover with 000 irrespective of what the first letters are. I have chance of one with PW 000 looks the same as mine, i have requested more photos. Thanks Steve.

Probably casting part numbers. These are usually items that are subsequently machined to a finished article so never get into the spares supply chain or even reach the powertrain assembly line.
