Just been given a new in tank fuel pump for free
Hi.
Hope you're all keeping well out there. With the event of the lock down it's been an ideal time and chance to get some of niggling jobs done on my 75 diesel. As I'm not dependant on the car at this precise time it's made sense to get things sorted out before work hopefully starts again.. I've entrusted my local one man band garage to crack on with the work. Over the last few weeks he's replaced the brake pipes, brake callipers and under bonnet fuel pump as well lots of other little jobs. The work at the local garage has dropped off somewhat and he was very great full for the trade. As a Thank you to me, he gave me a brand new in tank fuel pump to keep just incase mine packs up. The car he was going to fit it to ended up getting scrapped after discovering it needed a small fortune spending on it and was left with the redundant fuel pump. After doing a quick search on the Internet i was shocked to see that the "fuel parts" branded pump ranges from around £380 to £400!! How kind of the garage is that!! In these hard times were going through at the moment isn't it good to see such generosity amongst people and businesses. Well done that man 👍
