Stu, that often happens, those that put their all into the job, get overlooked for promotion, then it goes to a "loafer",so to speak, boils your blood, it happened to me once. Trouble is, if you decide to move jobs, coach companies don't pay the same rates as service bus operators. I know the service drivers around here are on circa £10 p/h. Been on the coaches for last two weeks, back to my own work yesterday, and it was agony,as I somehow hurt my back overnight.
Still a bit painful today, but easier, back to the grind on Monday, birthday towards the end of the week, then a half day on Friday, followed by a full day on the coach Saturday, after that ,need to think seriously about caravan holiday.
Only one problem, I have another coach company asking for my help,as they are two drivers down, due to illness and holiday.

Will help for the two days, so long as it doesn't interfere with my own holiday plans.
Tired now, so I think, is in order, catch you tomorrow
...and the industry at large wonder why there are MAJOR problems with recruitment and staff retention. The conditions are pretty rubbish here; this morning until My Donald's open there are no toilet facilities within 5 minutes of our stand, the A/C in most buses doesn't work and they want everyone to smile more?

Good morning Steve, thanks for letting us know and hopefully you will come back feeling refreshed and in tip top form. As your a keen fisherman, I though I would mention that Jessica and I will be going on angling course whilst we are in the uk. We need a new hobby. If I get stuck with a question, I will message you on FB

Good morning Derek and Lilian, Derek you don't miss much Time for me to get up, make the tea and go out for our walk. If I don't walk, the legs stiffen up.

A nephew is getting married next month in Calne and has asked for money as a wedding present. Any ideas how much I should give?

A relative in the West Country has his own coach company. He started off via coach rental and did really well. So he bought his first coach last year and it is fully loaded. He is a one man band, does trips to London, shows and events, Europe. He was in the police call centre, but hated it as he loves being out and about driving. Now he is his own boss. Have you thought Stu about doing something similar?
