Default What did I do with my Rover 75 today?

We'll, first we went to Tescos.
I'm now sitting in it outside my house with a coffee and my ipad reading the forums. Perfect.

Dave.

Glad I decided to not do 190 rear conversion just the fronts for me in about a weeks time!

Vented rear discs are expensive, rear solids do the job. The front 325mm brakes are good, in practice and cosmetically.

Default Finally!

Finally found a way to fix the chrome door handle surrounds back on so they don't fall off every time I close the car door!
I did try the Araldite putty method but it didnt work for me -(I freely admit it was probably due to my ineptitude and not the the method that was previously posted!).
First I 'filled in' a little area with Isopon mix inside the plastic mould as shown below - -:

After these little 'pads' of Isopon had dried, I cut Velcro to shape and stuck it to the Isopon pads. ( I stuck both halves of the velcro together before I cut the shape to ensure a good fit and then after peeling off the backing, just pressed the surround back into place inside the car - -

'Heath Robinson' I know but it looks fine inside the car and so far the surrounds have survived the door slam test fine!

Machine mopped, and Supagard glazed the whole car today. Has a mirror finish and looks nearly brand new, but I'm absolutely done in!
