Default Inside the Ships: The Battleship Mikasa

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHFq...8SvO7npLoDjX_V

Just finished watching one of these now, yes I know I'm awake, going to try round two of getting sleep in a bit.

A Japanese warship that used the bases of two British war ships to make this a well feared and deadly battle ship

Its combat record is impressive I have to say, but only that despite the damage taken and able to dish out.

This thing kept on going.

What do you expect with British Engineering.

Regards to the video links its English and Japanese, you will need to turn on the subtitles on the youtube screen, on your right conour of the screen you will see a box, click that and the subtitles will appear.

I do love the era of battleships, unfortunately aircraft carriers killed that off.

My wife loves going travelling abroad but it doesn't interest me, she suggested America as a compromise. I agreed on the condition we hire a corvette, and drive all round visiting the many preserved museum battleships over there. Starting with USS Texas!

A shame our last battleship, in fact the last battleship to be built in the world, HMS Vanguard, wasn't preserved. The last of a certain way of war. Though my personal choice to have preserved would have been HMS Warspite.

They sure did, you had the USS enterprise and the Japanese air craft carrier fleet.

Have to say that's a great compromise drive around in a V8 everywhere, now that I can live with. and exploring military museums, that would be my ideal get away.

I do wish they did preserve the vanguard. http://www.militaryfactory.com/ships...MS-Vanguard-23

I had to catch up on some reading on the HMS warspite, as I couldn't remember, there's even a site dedicated to it as well.
