Default Remove the ABS sensor

I have read a few threads in here regarding removal of the ABS sensor.

It looks like there is a common challenge to get the old one out without it breaking up.

So my question is. Is there any other way of getting it out after it has broken then drilling it out?

If you drill it out, do i use the same diameter on the drill as the sensor?

Is it as easy as measuring the length of the new sensor and to mark the drill with some tape to avoid drilling to deep?

What about the particles that the drill and the old sensor will leave. Do i need to remove it and how do i do that?
