Heater blowing cold
Hi All
Another question, I have just used the car today and found that only the drivers side of the heater is blowing hot and the passenger is continuously cold, it has the dual control set up. If this means anything to any body??? Anybody have any ideas what this is and how to fix etc I really hope this car isn't going to turn into a money pit of faults!! |

Thanks Fred
I will have a look at this over the weekend, would there be any link with this and the fact I have water on the passenger side foot well????
When i got the car saturday the plennum drain holes were blocked up so i cleared them and wet vacuumed out the most of the water, however since discovering the heat failure today i have found that the floor is soaked again the drain holes are clear and the sunroof drain pipes appear to be working as there is no water present there. This is problem No 4 I'm starting to think ive brought a lemon! ??? Also I can only seem to find a Vacuum bleed kit that is for brakes and clutches is there a specific type I need? So many questions with so much concern!!!! |

Best thing you can do is have a look at the How-to Forum here
http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...splay.php?f=28 My technical prowess pretty well ends with pointing people towards the how-to forum I'm afraid. You'll find answers to just about everything more quickly if you make it your first port of call when you have a problem. You can also do a search from the top of any page, "water in footwell" for instance. If you're still stuck, or need clarification, by all means shout up. The cars are generally very good once you've sorted any of the known issues. Don't give up on it too soon. |

A few things to check,
Door seals Blocked plenum (remove wipers and panel for access most urgent job) sunroof drains where the sunroof drainpipe goes into bulkhead , this is passenger footwell side behind panel by door , mine popped out & filled not only passenger front but rear as well , not pretty !! URGENT check>>>>>plenum if this gets full of water then it will enter the footwell READ THIS the last two on the right.... http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/index.php?thepage=howto Andrew.... |

Cold Heater
Hi Again
Looking through my service history again today and there is a receipt for some works carried out but also at the bottom the mechanic has stated that he looked at the heating blowing cold on the one side and states that he removed the sensor and found the nearside then to be blowing permanently hot. Question is, where is the sensor? and silly i know but just to clarify which is the nearside? As if this is the passenger side then it may just be a sensor fault????? and I will just need to replace this??? Thanks in advance people. |

Passenger side is nearside.
Try running this diagnostics check to see what it tells you. You will need to shine a light on the sensor (little sticky-up bit in the middle of the dash) unless you do it in daylight or it will show as a fault. http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...hread.php?t=46 |

The sensor on top of the dash will only detect daylight I think.. I believe the one that detects interior temp is the one left of the steering wheel on the dash, it's oval in shape and has horizontal slots in it.. But i don't think either sensor has anything whatsoever to do with your problem.
It sounds as if you have a small blockage in your heater matrix, it' lives behind the left hand side panel in the drivers footwell, disconnect the two pipes, take the matrix out and give it a good flushing till its clean, then replace it and all should be well heat wise.. However, you still need to find the water leak on the passenger side.. Do all the normal checks, = sunroof, plenum, windscreen seals etc.. ... |

It will be the heater matrix. Not too difficult a job (well I managed it so it can't be)
