Default Rover 75 Classic SE V6 for sale

NOW SOLD TO PAUL FROM LIVERPOOL EARLIER TODAY.....

If you love owning, caring for and driving this super car as much as I have done - then it will give you great pleasure!

I am very reluctantly selling my late year 2000, Cowley built, manual 2 litre V6. The only reason for selling is that I have just bought a 2005 Facelifted 75. Very nice, but it feels an entirely different kind of car!

The car is finished in Tahiti Blue and is immaculate with no body/panel damage. The Sandstone Beige velour interior is extremely clean.

Of course, this is a Pre "Project Drive" model - so everything is on it.

I am a very fastidious owner and anything that has needed to be done has been done to the vehicle.

This year I have had fitted 4 new tyres and my local garage has fitted a new radiator, replaced the inlet manifold (noisy "Butterfly" vanes on the original), replaced the clutch hydraulics, a rear wheel bearing and has had an oil/filer change. The cost of all of this, as you can well imagine, is far more than my asking price of just £650.

The car is completely standard with no dubious modificaions. It is in SE trim with Cowley fitted Aircon and 15" "Contour" style alloys.

Classic "shaped" rear number plate.

Has the legendary KV6 engine smoothness.

Two keys.

The car has a full MOT until August 19th 2016.

Mileage is a genuine 132,000.

There is a very detailed service history and all invoices - past and present - can be viewed by the Buyer.

There was only one previous owner.

Can be viewed at Southwold in Suffolk.

My very good "Virtual" friend Ray has helped me out by uploading Photos for me on my behalf - I was really struggling to do this. Go to the second page in this string. The car had only just had a light wash when these were taken. What great support from within this Community!

No, it's the Cornflower/Cream velour with brown piping. (I am assuming the "Personal Line" interiors were supplied to special order at the time.)

ok thanks

I have never seen a beige cornflower!! Hence my excitement. Yes the blue interiors would have been a special order. I think the beige is referred to as sandstone

Yes, you are quite right. I am learning all the time. It is Sandstone Beige velour. I've spent within this year (2015) nearly £1,300 on this car and have listed for just £650 - and - with 12 months MOT. It is immaculate by any standards, but with no interest at all.....what have I got wrong? Is it because is it a 2 litre V6 manual??

I would guess it would be due to the lack of pictures tbh

And before anyone else asks, have the belts been done and if so, when.

yes pictures are key! It sounds like an interesting car as there are not that many Tahiti blue. V6 should not scare anyone at all

Most people would disagree, especially as it's a very easy thing to take & post photos on the site.

It very probably is as good as you say & sounds extremely attractive for the price, but many a wasted journey has been undertaken to view cars which have been described by a vendor as 'immaculate' or 'mint'.
I bought my car on the strength of the photos & speaking with the owner. If there hadn't been any photos, I wouldn't have even considered it. I travelled to Devon to collect it. That's the power of good pictures of every part of the car, under the bonnet & in the boot included. They speak a thousand words.
