Kenlowe verses Siemens

THE KENLOWE OPTION

This is for owners who want the cheaper alternative than the OEM Siemens motor,
especially the old 3 speed owners who need a new complete fan.
The Kenlowe option has been tried & tested by many for members now & has proved very reliable.

£299 fitted. Same day service if you get here by 11am

Also coming soon, "We come to you service."
Prices will be as quoted PLUS 45p per mile from my LL29 post code (for the round trip distance)
So for example if you live 100 miles away, the extra mileage cost will be 200 X 0.45 = £90.
This pricing structure is based on Fuel costs, wear & tear & "lost time" out of the workshop.

Kenlowe have been established for decades & work extremely well retaining the original ECU intelligence, if wired into the original control box.

Other advantages include:

* Quieter operation
* Longer life than OEM
* Less energy usage improving MPG
* 2 year warranty
* No resistor to fail as it's a true 2 speed 2 field wound motor
* New impeller blades saving another £45 (if the OEM blades were damaged)
* more than 1 kg lighter in weight
not hijacking thread, but can reccomend kenlow.
i had a kenlow engine heater 3kw fitted to my sd1 3500 v8. had it for 9 years, and never let me down. nice warm car, and defrosted.

Ooh that's interesting never heard of those!
Was the 3KW powered externally from a hookup?

They worked from your how too that I printed out for them regarding removing the front and slam bar, also cutting the fan shroud to avoid de-gassing the aircon. Regarding checks and mods they did 1,2,3,5,9,10,11,&12.
4&6 had already been done.
Didn't want 7&8.
They also did a full aircon check on completion, both high and low pressure checks, gas charge and temp output. They also advised that the condenser was showing signs of corrosion and would need changing in the next 2 years or so, and would check again at the next MOT/Service.

"O" rings previously supplied by you were fitted although the originals were still in place, clean dry and not swollen.
i believe they also phoned you regarding fitting the 2 self tapping screws.
Would have enjoyed the trip up to you for you to have done it but as I said on the phone 550 mile round trip in a day was to much for the other half.

Thanks Graham for your excellent feedback!
I have noticed more & more condensers with corrosion now.
Some higher mileage ones are just crumbling away at the fins.

108,598 miles they said it was the fins but still enough left to give sufficient cooling. They said it was salt corrosion and advised hosing down the condenser on my Ford Fusion which has aircon every time it is cleaned to prevent it happening on that one.

My Father fitted a variable vane impeller on his Triumph 1300 FWD.
Can't remember if this was made by Kenlowe ?? So as the RPM increased the pitch of the blades "feathered" reducing the drag.

It was very quiet compared to the original & claimed 7-10% fuel savings !!

The condensers look absolutely fine on our cars, mind you we hardly ever need salt on the roads in North Wales during the Winter. (coast keeps us warm)
