URGENT PLEASE - White Smoke
Hi All,
Just had the head done, and recently done a post about the Turbo > http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=63627 Just come to leave work and there are plummes of white smoke coming from the exhaust on engine start up. It doesnt appear to be steam, it appears to be exhaust fumes, switched the engine off straight away and I have called the AA, the car doesnt sound rough or anything. There is no mayo, and the header tank hasnt lost a drop since the head repair. Is it possible this is another head fail or does it sound like turbo failure? Simon

White smoke (or steam) is either water (engine or turbo); or brake fluid being sucked into the combustion through a leak in the brake booster.

Sorry to see you are having problems simon.Hope you get sorted with as little pain to your wallett as possible. If you look at the positives once the turbo is replaced,if thats the problem, you should enjoy trouble free ownership.
You have a fine car so try to keep the faith mate.If all else fails you could always get a v6 zt of course. best of luck. jonathan |
