That is very strange! At first I thought it was a image taken from another car, but all the ancillaries seem to be in the correct place...

..... yes and the scuttle panel is Rover 75?

I read somewhere about a fiat diesel engine finding its way into a 75.... could this be one of those?

I think it is a FIAT JTD engine. There's a thread about Prototypes and Development Vehicles on here somewhere

Here's a Fiat fitted with the JTD engine - the filler cap is in the same place:

Yep...

It's a JTD engine.....

Makes it a VERY rare car and I know that an Enthusiast is hoping to make it his

Hope he gets it as it would be in good hands

Was indeed a prototype I believe.....

Info gained from another forum

There were several at Fiat’s test centre in Italy. There was also an LHD ZT-T Sold by Browns and Gammons, along with two 75 Saloons, one in BRG which was also LHD. There were others built too, but these were the only ones I know of that escaped, in addition to the Silver Tourer.

I spotted this just after it appeared on copart, but thought it'd be better if the car didn't appear on the open forum, to make sure that it doesn't fall into the wrong hands. It must be preserved, if anyone has any interest in preserving 75s. Hopefully the enthusiast that's in pursuit of it will get it, and it will return to the road.
